Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the director of the Center for Public Policy Research. It is widely believed that she was the one who initiating the contemporary research into the study of memories of eyewitnesses and children's victim witnesses within court circumstances. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer who has received numerous awards and grants. She has worked with various organizations and government officials across the world on policies as well as research on children who are victims of the justice system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of a variety of professional organizations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society as well as the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
